I've had a busy day...or maybe not.

Ok, so I learned how to "bling-out" my blog page by using scrapblog and now I am addicted to it!! It's so much fun.

I used to scrapbook alot back when DD was a baby, but just don't have time to do it. By using this website, it's 10 times faster and funner. (That's not a word is it! LOL)

I sat here and made two pages within about an hour, all while sitting my fat bo-bo on the couch and watching Spongebob with DD. I know, I get amused easily.

I should be cleaning house, since I didn't yesterday. (I don't clean on Sundays because I stay pretty busy with the kids and church) In fact, Hubby just got home for lunch and asked DD if her and I have done anything today!

I said, "Yep, we watched Horton Hears a Who, again. Oh and I cleaned the kitchen"...or atleast put as many dishes in the dishwasher that would fit. "And I made a breakfast casserole for DD and I!"

That's enough for the day, right? Did I mention it's only 2:00pm?? Anyways, I'll do more later. Maybe, if I feel like it! LOL

The last few days....and today.Ugh!

Ok...so alot has happened in the last few days.

Sissy is still sick, and after 5 days with out her po-po(paci) we decided to let her have it back since she was sick and constantly crying. She has calmed down some-what with it back, but she still doesn't feel that good.

Last night was Hubby's Management Christmas party and it was a riot!! Just seeing the uptight, always stressed, management team out of their element was absolutely hilarious! So glad that my cousin, M, came and kept the kids so that we could attend...Thanks again, Mon-Mon!!

I finally figured out how to "bling-out" my blog page, thanks to my friend Kristy. Thanks by the way, Girl!! Don't think I could have done it without you.

We think Bubba is teething, he is constantly crying, drooling, and chewing on things. Other than that, he is just getting bigger every day...the boy can wear size 12 month pants. HE'S ONLY 5 MONTHS OLD!!

As I am sitting here writing this, Sissy fell asleep while we were watching Horton Hears a Who, which, btw, is a very cute movie. The ending is great!! LOL If you haven't watched, go out and get it and watch it!! I am also attempting to make Dorito Chicken Casserole for fellowship dinner at church tonight, and for Hubby's supper tonight when he gets home from work. (He was upset that I wasn't making some for him, so I am "thinning" the big dish out to make enough for him a dish as well. Men, so spoiled!!

So as I am trying to make this dish, I realize that I forgot to pick up one of the ingredients. GREAT!! Hubby has to bring it home with him when he gets off work, and then I have to throw it all together, bake it, and have it done by 5:45. Did I mention that he doesn't get home from work until 5:15, and it's supposed to bake for 35 minutes?!?! Cutting it close, very close!

I need help!

Okay, I am still learning this whole blog thing, but I am having problems figuring out how to add pictures to my posts. And there are some things that other bloggers have that I would like to add to mine, but have no idea how to do it. For example, a custom header with pictures of my family. Can anyone help me or is it too complicated...or expensive?? I finally figured out how to add my playlist...so score one for me! :)

Christmas 2008

Today is Christmas day! Happy Birthday, Jesus!!!

At church last Sunday, Sissy's class sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, and of course everyone has been telling her Merry Christmas. So I guess she combined it all, and has been telling everybody, "Happy Christmas!" It's too cute.

Last night we went to Hubby's Uncle S's house in Oden for dinner with his family. They just built a 5600 sq foot house...yep that's right, 5600! It's beautiful! I made sure to get some pics for "future reference" when Hubby and I are finally able to build the house of our dreams. I would post them, but I'm still trying to figure this whole blogging bit out and will have to do some "playing" around to figure it all out.

Anyways, I've had a pretty good day so far. We woke up early, not good for a sick little one by the way, and went to Hubby's dad's house for breakfast and gifts. Hubby's step-mom just got home from surgery Monday, and she was not feeling very good. Dad and I ended up sending her to bed before everyone even left. The kids got to open gifts and play until they started getting crabby. Then we came home and the two of them laid down and went to sleep with Daddy.

I got some really cool cookbooks in stocking at my parent's house, yes we still do those, and I am reading thru them right now to see if there would be anything worth trying. The one I am reading first is called "Just for Kids Cookbook". It has this poem in it that I wanted to share with you all.

How true that is!! I never heard that before, or thought of a candy cane that way, but I will from now on. Well, I'm about ready to go eat again. Deviled eggs sandwiches, anyone?

My Whining Post

So this is only my second post, and I'm gonna whine and complain thru the whole thing...so get ready!

First off, Sissy is sick. She woke up from her nap yesterday evening and was crying saying, "Mom I hurt," (Yes, she calls me 'Mom'!) and pointing to the inside of her mouth. Which makes me assume that her throat is what hurts. Along with her pain, she is coughing this cough that sounds like she needs to spit afterwards, you know what I am talking about, but she's only 2 and hasn't figured that out yet.

Last night we had Christmas at my parent's house, with my brother and sister's and their families. Hubby ended up staying at home with Sissy, so it was only Bubba and I that went. Which resulted in not getting the "family" photo that my dad wanted to take with everyone.

Second off, Hubby's aunt, her boyfriend, and her 12 year old daughter, arrived around 7pm last night, and will be here until Sunday. When they stay with us, Hubby has to sleep with us. (Every since Bubba was born, Hubby sleeps in the guest room. He does this so that he can get some sleep before he goes to work early the next morning. We've ALL gotten used to this arrangement!) So with Sissy being sick, she would cough, which in turn made her throat hurt more, and made her cry.

This made Hubby upset and crabby, so Sissy, Bubba, (couldn't leave him in there with Daddy because he still wakes up in the middle of the night) and myself ended up in Sissy's bedroom floor. Very uncomfortable, and not good for my back, I messed up my sciatic nerve at some point during birth with Bubba. So this morning I woke up with my back and neck killing me, and a sick toddler.

Third off, I volunteered to keep my niece, who is about 3 months old, and she is sick as well. What in the world was I thinking?!?! I was thinking, "It's Christmas, I'm sitting at home doing nothing, (yeah right) might as well."

Tonight we have Hubby's family Christmas, which consists of his aunts, uncles, cousins, and their families. I have to run errands...this morning...and make some peanut butter cup cookies today. That, with a lack of sleep last night, yep, after tomorrow morning's festivities, I am sleeping all day!

My First Blog

This, Ladies, and Gentlemen, is my first blog. I do occasional "blogs" on myspace, but not very often. With me being a stay at home mom now, there is usually a lot that I want to talk about. Just no one to talk with. Yes, there is my wondeful husband, but he works about 55 hours a week, and by the time he gets home, I forget what I wanted to tell him. Hey, I keep pretty busy thru out the day with a 2 year old and a 5 month old! I thought this would be a good "outlet" for my thoughts. So sit back, get comfortable, and enjoy the ride of "A Day in the Life of a Stay at Home Mom"!
