Missing old things... :(

Are you or have you ever been one of those people that hang on to EVERYTHING?!?!? I used to be one of those people, not much anymore because we don't have much room to keep anything.
*
But here's my issue:
Hubby and I lived in a small house, more like a tiny cottage, when we first got together, and a lot of my stuff was still in "storage". When we moved into a bigger house, there was a storage room that was built onto the back of the house. One where the only way to get into it was to go outside. We had stored a bunch of our "junk" in it. When we moved, we had actually forgot about said "junk", and left it there. Our landlord called me up and said that the neighbors where wondering if they could just have all the stuff that was left in there.
*
I had COMPLETELY forgot about that stuff and what all was in there, so I said sure, thinking it was just a bunch of "junk" that could be tossed anyways.
*
Skip forward to the present:
I got to thinking about some stuff that I had kept thru the years and wondered what had happened to it all. Like my cap and gown from graduation, some of the stuff that I had made in elementary school, old pictures, a ceramic praying hands nightlight/lamp that my grandmother made me before she passed away, and stuff that I had kept from being in the Basketball State Finals two years in a row!!
*
Where would you think that ALL that sentimental stuff went to?? Yep, I think so too!
So I have been thinking about doing something that I, of all people, would never ever do! I am thinking about going to the former neighbor's house and asking if they might still have some of that stuff, from 6 years ago!!
*
Crazy I know, but I really miss, and wish I had some, if not most, of that stuff back. I really beat myself up that I left it there!! I'll post later, if I ever get the courage to do it, and let you know what happens with it.

In need of craft ideas

I know it's been awhile, almost a week to be exact, but not much as been going on lately. I am sitting here watching "The Dr's", don't know what I was thinking btw, and they are injecting this chick with some type of tissue stuff to mold her a chin. Apparently, she had no actual chin. It was just skin from the tip of her chin to her neck, and was not defined. So they injected her with this stuff and were going to literally mold it like putty to make her a defined chin! OMG!!
*
Anyways... Like I have said, not much has happened this past week. I have been working out on my Wii Fit every day since I got it 10 days ago, but my BMI only went down 0.5 points. But I'm not giving up!! I am soooo ready to get rid of this baby weight!
*
I have been dying to start a new craft project, but don't know what to do. When we got Sissy's toddler bed a year ago, which she still doesn't sleep in, I re-did her room. We can't do much since we rent our house, but we did take down all the Winnie the Pooh baby stuff and replaced it all with girlie stuff. Flowers, polka dots, butterflies.... It's too cute, but I haven't been able to make it back to Hobby Lobby to find more stuff.

(These are little wooden flower hangers that I painted. I think they turned out waaayyyy too cute!)

(This is a shelf that I painted the top part blue, the bottom part a cream color, and then covered with polka dots.)

(This was my favorite project out of everything. They were just wooden letters that I painted solid and then painted with polka dots!)
*
I also used to make this picture frames from canvas frames and scrapbook stickers, but haven't looked for the frames in awhile, don't even know if Wal-Mart carries them anymore.

(These are the only two frames that I have. I made more for other people for weddings or baby showers. I think they looked to corny to do many more though.)

*

Anyone got any ideas?? Keep in mind that having a 2 year old and a 7 month old, I don't have much time to sit still and work for more than 2 hours...nap time. Also, I can NOT sew!! I don't even own a needle and thread. So keep that all in mind when giving me suggestions! Thanks! :)

Sweet Deals

Today we had a great time shopping! Hubby and I went to Hot Springs, with the kids, and had a blast!
We hit some pretty good sales.
We picked up 3 dress outfits, including her dress for Easter, and 2 shirts for Sissy.
The cute shirts we got from Old Navy.

Little "dress" outfits from TJ Maxx

Easter Dress from TJ Maxx!! Too Cute!
(Jacket)

Easter Dress (Inside of Jacket and dress)

Short sets and Pants for Bubba.

Outfit on far left is from Sears, Pants are from Old Navy, and outfit on far right is from TJ Maxx.

*

I found an Aeropostale T-shirt from TJ Maxx but that was all for me. Hubby bought a box of basketball cards, and pulled a sweet Derrick Rose Rookie Auto card from it. When we got back home though, Bubba and I went to Stage and I found 3 shirts and a pair of black dress shoes.

*

I think we spent about $140 on all the clothes.

*

I have to say, I really enjoy days like this. It's not often that Hubby wants to do something, other than sit at home, on his days off. And I'm at home ALL. DAY. LONG. with the kiddos, so it's nice to have "time away" with the family.

*

Well, it's late, and I am exhausted. So, off to bed I go.

Valentines Day

Well, Valentines Day was alright for us. Jacob had to work 7-5 so it was just me and the kids all day. We did go see him at work, but that was about all we did. The days leading up to V-Day, I had it in my head on what we were going to do for him. We made him handmade cards, heart shaped Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting and sprinkles, and homemade spaghetti for dinner.
*
I took some pics of the cards and cupcakes just to share with you. I tend to forget to do that...lol.

This was what all I started with to make his card from me.

This is my finished card.

This is a sample of the cupcakes.

This is how I set it up for him to see when he walked in the door.
*
And what did I get? Well nothing yet. We are going to Tuesday to shopping for clothes and stuff for the four of us. That's my present!
*
Oh. Well, I did get a Wii Fit, but that wasn't really a V-Day gift. I have been wanting one since they came out with them. I'm hoping I will start losing some baby weight by using it. We'll see...

Rain, Rain, Go Away!!!

I HATE storms. The ones that are just going to be rain and thunder, I can handle. I still don't like them, but I can handle them. The ones that are expected to dish out hail, damaging winds, and tornados...those are the ones that I dispise. I hate them so much that I make myself sick with worry.
*
We have storms coming our way. No, not the little rain and thunder storms. The ones that dish out hail, damaging winds, and YES even tornados. My stomach is is knots!! I'm freaking out and scared out of my mind!
*
To make matters worse, Hubby has to work late tonight. So when the storms start arriving, I will be here by myself with the kiddos until he gets off work. In fact by the time he gets home, is probably the time the storms will start dying down.
*
I'm hoping that my neighbors are going to be home and I can go up there. That will keep me a little sane. When the remains of Hurricane Ike came this way, I was home by myself with the kids as well. Thankfully, my neighbors were home and I was able to stay there.
*
I have been praying to God to keep us all safe, watch over us, and keep me sane!

Blogs, weekends, meetings, and cars...oh my!!

So if you don't follow my recipe blog, which you really should, I add 14 new recipes today. Go check it out. And remember if you have any you would like to add, just let me know.
*
Yesterday was Sunday, and as usual, I was busy. Hubby We decided to go to church with his family. Then Hubby's family decided to do lunch at the Fish Net. Of course we said we go with them. At the end of the meal, we found out that our lunch at been taken care of, thanks Uncle S!! *
After that we came home and we Hubby cleaned house. I did help a little bit. I picked up the living room. He, on the other hand, cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed AND steamed cleaned the living room carpet. Yes, I think I'll keep him! Then I had a meeting at church at 4pm and then my Discipleship Training class with the pastor.
*
Today we went and looked at a car that Hubby had seen for me. (I have gotten tired of my car, and can not stand it!!) It was a Dodge Caliber. We both took turns driving it, and decided that we didn't really like it that much. My vehicle now has more room in it, and with 2 kids and all their stuff, it's needed! So we will continue looking and paying my current car loan down.
*
Any ideas on a good vehicle with lots of room and not that expensive?!?!

It's about time!

Today was an exciting day, which goes to show that I don't get out much!! LOL
Hubby, myself, and the kiddos went to Ft. Smith today to go shopping. Hubby found a desk online that he wants and has been looking around for one like it. So we went to check out some furniture places up there to see if they might have something like it. They didn't.
*
We also went to the mall and to Toys R Us just looking for anything that we can't live without. The only thing we(DD) found was a Max and Ruby Valentine's book. She cried and screamed for it. So apparently she "couldn't live without it"!!
*
Can you believe that we went up there and the only thing we spent money on was gas, lunch at Hamburger Barn at the food court in the mall, and a Max and Ruby kids book?!?! Yeah, I know!
*
We did get to spend some quality time together though. Without one of us on the computer, which is normally what happens when he has a day off. We are looking forward to getting our income tax refund back so we can go somewhere else and actually spend money. We did have some today, but we had to watch what we spent so that we can make it until then.
*
Tomorrow is Sunday, and Hubby is off work again. We plan on going to church with his family, which we sometimes do when he is off and wants to go to church. Then I have a committee meeting before church starts tomorrow evening....so I will be busy! Which I normally am on Sundays. It's my, "I hope I can get the kids to take a long enough nap" day.
Well, it's been a looonnnggg day, and I am beat! Hope you have a good one.

It's Been Awhile

It's been a few days since I have blogged, because I've had a lot going on.

*

First off, Granny is back at home. Well, not really, but she's not at the hospital 1 1/2 hours away. The kids decided to put her in a nursing/rehabilitation home here in town. Pop is almost 80 years old and not able to take care of her as much as she needs it. So they thought it was best.

*

Sissy has been sick. The last (and also the first) time we went to H.S. to see Granny, she had gotten car sick on the way there. It's the first time she had ever done that, but I had just started a movie for her, and then went over the curves (I can't remember the name that people call them right now.) I thought that was what caused it.
*
A few nights later though, she woke up vomiting. She ended up throwing up 5 times in an hour, and probably would have gone more, but started dry heaving. She was fine the next day and night. But the night after that, she woke-up in the middle of the night vomiting again.
*
She has had a runny nose, and I think the drainage just made her sick when she laid down. She seems to be doing better today though...and that has been the night before last that she got sick the last time. So maybe that's gone.
*
There are some things that have been going on with me personally and if you are a praying person, I ask very much so that you pray for me and my situation. I don't want to share any details and embarrass or make anyone mad, but lets just say...IT'S A BIG DEAL!!
*
I think that is all for now, and hopefully I will have more to blog about more than just once a week from now on. But...we'll see.
