My Answer to My First Question!!

I got my first question!
*
Tracy asked me:
Are you a SAHM? If not-what do u do.. If So.. Will you stay being a SAHM?
*
I am a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom). When my son, Bubba, was born 6 1/2 months ago, we decided that it was for the best. It would be hard to find someone to keep both a 1 1/2 - 2 yr old AND a newborn, and we didn't want to put them in daycare. Even if we did, my whole paycheck would have went to childcare, gas to and from work, and food for work...wouldn't have been worth it.
*
As for staying that way, I'm not sure yet. Financially its hard to not have an income...I already have a full time job!! I love being at home with my little ones, but we will see what the Lord has in store for us!

2 Going on 20!

Little Ms. Sassy Britches has got an ATTITUDE!! We took her po-po (paci) away about a week and a half ago, and she's a totally different person without it. Apparently the po-po calmed her down quite a bit. She would sit on the couch or in her "house" (its a cardboard box that we made into a house) for hours with it. Now, she can't sit still for 5 minutes!!
*
Since her po-po came up "missing", I have caught her drawing on the walls, her books, and herself with a RED permanent marker, getting into my jewelry box (which happens to be put on top of my dresser), playing in the toilet in bathroom. Along with crawling in Bubba's crib (with him in it) and stealing his po-po (all the time). IT'S NON-STOP!! We used to let her go sit on my bed and watch TV, but after all of that, she got banned!

Her wonderful drawings

Yesterday, she was headed toward my room and I told her to stay in the living room. She kept going, and I yelled at her to STOP and GET BACK IN HERE!! She turned and looked at me with this "adult" look and very calmly said, "Mom, I busy". To which I replied, "Excuse me? You get your butt" Yes, I said 'butt'! "back in here and sit it on the couch!!"

*

As she was climbing on the couch I hear, " 'Cuse me?" I think to myself, did I hear here right? Did she just sass me? I looked at her and it came out of her mouth again..." 'Cuse me?"

*

It was hard not to laugh at her, but I did manage to keep it in, get-up off my butt, and spank her. Of course when I told her daddy the story, he had trouble keeping his laugh in too...as you probably are reading this!!! LOL

Blog Title Change

If you noticed, the title of my blog has changed. I have realized, for the past 2 months, that I am not really blogging about the trials and tribulations of being a SAHM, more about life in general. I'm sorry to my followers if this confused you, but I thought hard about it and decided to change it. Yes, I could have went with the common The "suchandsuch" Family...but decided that I wanted to be different...imagine that. Anyways, I hope you are okay with the name change, if not...get over it! :)

Ask Me! and My Thoughts for the Day

I'm hopping on the bandwagon with the questions. If you have any questions about me, leave a comment and ask. I posted a blog with random facts about me, but if you have anything else you would like to know, just ask.
*
In other news, Sissy is learning our names. She is so stinking cute. We ask her,
"What's Daddy's name" "Jayjub Wawer".
"Momma's name" "Shawshaw Wawer".
"Bubba's name" "HayHay Wawer".
Her name ~ Goovy (Goofy)!!
LOL
*
Daddy calls her Goofy all the time. She thinks its funny, and I guess likes the name! Too cute.
I talked to my dad last night, can't get a hold of anyone today, and he said Granny was the same.
Not better, not worse, the same.
*
We lost electricity for only about 2 hours last night because of the ice...Praise God! If you read my Random Things About Me post, you would understand why.
*
I need some recipes for my recipe blog. Kinda at a stand still, only because I haven't cooked anything in a few days....long story! So could you help a sister out and send me some recipes. I promise to credit it to you!!
*
I think that is all my thoughts for the day. If I think of something else, I'll post it. Have a good Wednesday!

Gone public!

I decided to make my blog public once again. I decided that more people might read it that way. I invited quite a few people when I had it as private, only 3 people~not including the ones that were already following, had responded.
*
So anyways, I am trying my hardest to keep the "personal" stuff out of my posts. I don't want any crazy person hunting me or my family down...LOL.
*
So if you are a new reader...enjoy! Also, check out my recipe blog too!! If you got any recipes you would like to add, let me know!

Update on Granny

Just got off the phone with my mom.
*
They had done some CT Scans on Granny yesterday and found a blood clot in her abdomen and one in her chest. Well when they try to correct one thing, another thing goes wrong. The clots are getting bigger and there are more that are coming up. They have given her 12 pints of blood altogether and it's still not showing that she's making any or receiving any. Visiting hours vary and there is one right now from 10am to noon. There is something going on with her that they won't let anyone in there right now.
*
My mom told me the same thing as she told my sister, "There is nothing you could do if you came up here, but sit here and wait like the rest of us. Granny wouldn't want you to do that anyways." She's right, but it still doesn't help any that I'm not there.
*
Please keep praying for us. We are all trying to keep in mind that what-ever is in God's Will is just that!

My Grandmother (Granny)

As I have posted before, my grandmother is in the hospital, and has been since I think before Christmas. She had fallen and hurt her leg pretty bad, they had taken her to the hospital here in Mena for awhile, then the week before our family Christmas, which was Jan. 3, the transferred her to St Joseph's in Hot Springs.
*
She goes thru ups and downs a lot. One day she's doing really good and we think she is going to get to come home soon, the next time something happens and it doesn't look good.
*
Saturday afternoon, I get a call that my grandma had a mini-stroke that morning. They had her stable so I didn't NEED to go up. Of course I wanted to, but with two little ones, and at 5pm at night, I didn't feel like it was an option.
*
Last night before bed I had decided that kids and I would get up earlier than normal and go to the early morning service, which starts at 9am (the 2nd service which is the one I normally attend starts at 1030am).
*
Well we did, but when we got there, none of my family was there. I called my mom's cell phone and she informed that my grandma had been put in ICU last night and they didn't get her stable until after 3am!
*
After that, I decided that instead of church, I would go to Hot Springs and see her.
*
I didn't reconize her at all!! She was so pale and yellow looking that it didn't look like her. I had found out that the hospital was giving her 2 pints of blood A DAY, and it still was showing that she wasn't making any or receiving any. Her blood pressure is being all wacko and she is in pain but can't take any pain medicine.
*
I would love to go see her more, but with the kiddos, it's hard. I have felt bad about it, but yesterday she told me that I needed to, "Take care of those babies!" It made me realize that, yes, I should go see her, but she understands and would rather me take care of my little ones. I think that's what makes it harder.
*
I ask that you pray for her, and our family. Lord knows we need it!!

Whew...glad that's over!

Alright, so it's been quite awhile since my last post. And let me tell you, I have been quite busy this time!
*
I agreed to keep my niece (my brother-in-law's little girl) starting this past week. I had to tell her momma that I just can't do it, Friday when she came to pick her up. I have this horrible stress headache since the first day I kept her, which was Wednesday. You know the one that is in your shoulders, up your neck, and into the back of your head...yeah, that one!
*
I felt so bad that I couldn't console this poor little girl. She cried all but about 2 hours...not together mind you...from the time her momma dropped her off at 8am until she picked her up between 3pm and 345pm. She only had 2 naps which only lasted for about 20 minutes...I know she was exhausted!
*
She uses her bottle as her comforter, so she ended up eating around 22 oz of formula the whole time I had her! Yes 22 oz and she's only about 3 1/2 months old. She constantly wanted my attention, playing with her, holding her, feeding her, which is fine...I understand that, she's a baby. BUT...I have mine too!!
*
Sissy, who is 2, and Bubba, who is 6 1/2 months old, are pretty good at not needing constant attention. But they still need some, and when I would leave her side (my niece) to take care of one of mine, she would start siren crying!! My nerves were shot by the end of the day, and my stress headache was in full swing. This was every day for 3 days!
*
I just couldn't do that to myself or my kids. And I know Hubby didn't want to hear me whine about it every day either! So I apologized but told her if there were times when she REALLY needed me, I would try and help. But couldn't do it all the time!
*
Today is Saturday, and it's just me and the kids....awww, it's actually nice. Remind me not to take my "alone" time with them for granted again! It's nice to be able to just concentrate on them! We don't have anything planned today, accept lounging around, and maybe doing a little house cleaning.
*
Tomorrow is church, and, as usual, I'm looking forward to it. I will try to do better with my blog posting. I notice that when I don't post in a while, I end up having one big long one when I do! Sorry!!
*
Well hope you all have a good weekend and God Bless!!

My Recipe Blog

I was thinking the other day about how I would love to get new ideas for recipes when cooking on a budget, and how I would like to share mine.

Well, as I was reading one of my friend's blogs last night, she had wrote a post about a cookie of the month type deal. As I was reading a comment someone wrote about a recipe blog, I got the idea!

I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to add them, credited to you~of course! If you have a bunch that you would like to add, Kristy, then let me know. I can add you as an author of blog.

You can e-mail them to me if you'd like: jordan2good@sbcglobal.net.

So get those recipes together and lets make an awesome Recipes on a Budget blog!!
