I logged on to my blog reader today to find this. If you haven’t read the book, you definitely should. I downloaded the free version, and I am so glad that I did.
There have been some issues going on with me right now, and it has made me do a lot of questioning. Question why God has let this all happen to my family. Question what He has in store for us. Question what I am supposed to do. Question my religion.
I have been so confused, and have prayed for Him to show me what to do, but just reading Angie’s book has made me realize that me telling God what I want to do is ridiculous. That me praying, “God, I pray this all passes over so that I may return to what I have known” is NOT what He wants, but that I should be praying, “God, show me Your way.”
If it’s His Will for me to move away from what I know and love, so be it. Yes, it will be very hard for me, but I know that He will give me peace for whatever direction He leads me.
He loves me, more than I love Him, and I know that He knows what’s best for me. For that I will forever praise Him.
Bring The Rain
I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain
I am Yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain
So I pray
Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
